I'm excited to share with you my recent artist collaboration with the wonderful Joanna from BeachCult! Joanna has incorporated two of my artworks, the 'Every Woman I Have Been' series and 'Sea of Faith,' into bold patterns that adorn her designs. A collection that beautifully combines my artworks with her magical creations.
In the 'Sea of Faith' painting, I explored the mesmerizing relationship between the moon and the ocean, capturing the unexpected changes brought forth by wet ink on paper. This artwork delves into the effects of color and lunar phases on the body, serving as a meditative and poetic expression of self. Each brushstroke in this piece is a part of my ongoing journey of self-exploration.
The 'All the Women I Have Been' series features three freehand drawings, meticulously crafted with ink and a paintbrush. Each drawing represents a different facet of women at various stages of their lives. As the artist and subject, I sought to infuse each figure with an intimate yet unashamed gaze, reflecting both inward contemplation and outward awareness. These drawings encapsulate moments in time, evoking the emotions and experiences of the women they depict.
